Transfer Policies

UT will accept transfer credit of similar coursework from accredited institutions. When you apply, a preliminary evaluation of your transfer GPA is completed for an admission decision. The official evaluation of transfer credit is completed once you’re admitted.

Any transfer applicant who has been academically suspended or dismissed by the last institution they attended will not be considered for admission, regardless of the hours earned and transferable GPA.

Affordable and Valuable

UT offers a variety of scholarship programs. In fact, nearly half of our students graduate with no debt at all. And we prepare you for what comes next. Our tuition is competitive (just take a look at how we measure up) and more than 80 percent of UT graduates are employed or in graduate school within six months of finishing their degree, and all our graduates join a global network of more than 250,000 alumni ready to help open doors for fellow Vols.
